As beautiful as it is dangerous, the “Isles” are a series of plateaus and mountaintops amongst and above the severe storms that persist in the area. Due to the difficulty of travel and danger of the storms, it is a largely unexplored wilderness, save for the crown jewel of the region, the Cumulonimbus Academy.
Local Legend: Gryphons, noble creatures, are not often wont to accept the burden of a mortal upon their back, but reports of such a thing persist in stories from the students of the Academy, spotting them outside their windows. They appear to be Sylph of some kind, bonded to the proud beasts, and one such pairing has been described as an Insiduous Sylph atop a crimson gryphon.
Typical Threats: Elementals and Stormspawn are the most common threats in the area.
Typical Tempest Surges: Air, Ice. A perpetual storm covers the area, sometimes the Tempest, sometimes not, but it never ceases.
