Blackwater Delta & Lake Ebon

The Blackwater Delta is an extensive network of distributary rivers that flow from the Blackwater, a vast river that winds for unknown miles across the land. Many of these smaller rivers eventually empty out into Lake Ebon, an immense body of water, the surface of which is like mirrored obsidian. Though the water has been found safe to drink, dangers are said to live beneath its surface, and few if any have ever dared to explore its waters.
Local Legend: There are a myriad of stories about the sorts of monsters that live in Lake Ebon, many of which center around long slain creatures returning from the grave by foul magics deep down in the inky blackness. The Delta itself is home to stories of cannibals and bandits.
Typical Threats: The waters of the Delta bring many beasts to its banks to drink, and it makes for good hunting grounds for predators of both natural and unnatural kinds. Monstrous humanoids such as Ogres and goblins are the most commonly faced enemies by the peoples of Tridia, for the lush lands provide plenty of sustenance.
Typical Tempest Surges: Air and Dark, sometimes Ice. Storms often hang above the surface of the lake itself, foreboding.
Closest other regions: The Rimelands far to the Northeast, Stormgard far to the Southwest.
