Valley of Bones

Also called the Den of the Ancients, the Valley of Bones is named for the massive skeletons that fill the desolate dale. Remains of creatures of mythical size dot the landscape. Colossal skulls, gigantic rib cages, and more litter the area. How these creatures died here, if they even did, is a subject of much speculation, and a mystery that tantalizes many scholars.

Local Legend: When the Tempest rages through the valley, it is believed that the howling winds that echo through the old bones somehow mimic the cries and roars of these ancient, dead creatures. Some even swear they can discern speech at times.

Typical Threats: Bandits, Stormspawn, and scavenger beasts. The Valley itself is incredibly hostile to lone travelers.

Typical Tempest Surges: Dark, Earth, Air. The Tempest regular makes its way through the Valley; rarely does more than a day pass before a surge appears.

Closest Other Regions: Brimstone Badlands to the South, Titanspine Mountains to the Northwest.
